South Bay Women’s Network (SBWN) is offering a student an opportunity to redesign our organization’s website to reflect our growing membership and the diversity of our members’ businesses. We are professional businesswomen promoting one another to achieve professional and personal goals. SBWN meets each month and offers its members valuable networking time with other businesswomen and informative presentations from a variety of speakers on topics relevant to business and the goals of businesswomen.

While our old site is “homey” which is part of our group’s appeal it is very static. We want to offer our members a dynamic site that will help them network better through postings, a changing calendar, online newsletters, surveys, membership directory and possibly online luncheon reservation service. The network is looking for a more professional and active Internet presence.

We recommend the student interact with our membership and officers to develop an updated “overall concept” for the new site and then implement a working prototype that can be maintained by SBWN board or committee member. We request that the working prototype use Word press so it can be user friendly for further development and be available by the end of the school quarter.

We are open to suggestions on how the website can help our organization grow. Visit the South Bay Women’s Network Web site to learn more about our organization.
