My presentation will be about Wolfram Alpha the Computational Knowledge Engine. Wolfram Alpha has many interesting aspects related to artificial intelligence. The first aspect is Wolfram Alpha is like a search engine. It uses complex algorithms to give you the best result. Unlike a typical search engine Wolfram tries to compute an answer to question instead of giving you a bunch of links. Another topic pertaining to artificial intelligence that Wolfram Alpha uses, is natural language processing. Wolfram takes in your question and then figures out what the answer to your question is. Wolfram Alpha is also constantly discovering new facts. It is constantly learning. Wolfram alpha claims that it gives correct answers to 90% of the queries that it receives. Wolfram alpha is also used in other artificial intelligent programs such as SIRI. I will also compare IBM’s Watson to Wolfram Alpha and how Wolfram takes a different approach to answering questions. In conclusion I will be discussing all of this and a few of the mistakes that Wolfram Alpha makes when it tries to answer your queries.
